How to Draw a Horn
Draw a horn in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the outer curve.
Step 1: The outer curve
Start low on the left. Draw a long line sweeping up and right, and stop near the top right.
Tip A horn is a bent cone: fat at the bottom, pointed at the tip.
Step 2: The inner curve
Start at the bottom, to the right of the first line. Curve up to meet it in a sharp point.
Step 3: The curved base
Start at the left bottom end. Draw a curve dipping down, and stop at the right bottom end.
Step 4: The tip line
Near the point, draw a short curve across the horn, edge to edge, to mark the tip.
Step 5: Rings near the base
Near the base draw 2 curves across the horn, edge to edge, close together, dipping toward the base.
Tip Rings are closer together near the base.
Step 6: Rings in the middle
Draw 2 more curves across the middle of the horn, edge to edge, with a bigger gap between them.
Step 7: Ring near the tip
Draw 1 last curve across the horn a little below the tip line, edge to edge.
Step 8: The ground
Draw 1 straight ground line under the horn, just touching the bottom of the base.
Step 9: Colour the horn sand
Go over your lines, then colour the horn sand, up to the tip line.
Step 10: Brown tip
Colour the pointed tip brown, past the tip line.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a horn, drawn by you.
