How to Draw a Hopscotch Board
Draw a hopscotch board in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the home.
Step 1: The home
Near the top, start on the left. Draw a rainbow and stop level on the right. Add a line underneath.
Step 2: A happy face
In the home draw 2 shiny eyes a finger apart. Add a U smile and a cheek under each eye.
Step 3: Two boxes
Under the home's bottom line draw 2 boxes side by side, a little wider than tall.
Step 4: One box, then two
Under the pair draw one box in the middle, and under that another pair side by side.
Step 5: Three boxes down
Under the second pair draw a stack of 3 single boxes going down to near the bottom of your paper.
Step 6: Numbers 1, 2, 3
Write a big 1 in the bottom box, a little left. Write 2 and 3 in the boxes above it.
Step 7: Numbers 4, 5, 6
Write a 4 and a 5 in the first pair of boxes. Write a 6 in the single box above.
Step 8: Numbers 7 and 8
Write a 7 and an 8 in the top pair, left then right.
Step 9: The beanbag
In the bottom box, right of the 1, draw a small rounded square beanbag.
Step 10: Chalk stick
Right of the bottom box draw a long thin chalk stick. Add a line near its top end.
Step 11: Yellow boxes
Colour boxes 2, 4, 5 and 7 yellow.
Step 12: Sky boxes
Colour boxes 1, 3, 6 and 8 sky blue, going around the beanbag.
Step 13: Pink home, red bag
Colour the home pink around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Colour the cheeks and the beanbag red.
