How to Draw Holi

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw Holi in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave room above for the arms and the puffs of colour.

  2. Step 2: The face

Below the middle draw 2 big eyes with black dots. Add a tiny U nose and a big smile.

  3. Step 3: Tufty hair

Start at the left eyebrow. Draw round tufts over the head to the right eyebrow, then curve back across.

  4. Step 4: Neck and T-shirt

Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left one draw a T-shirt, back up to the right one.

  5. Step 5: Arms up and hands

From each sleeve draw an arm up to the wrist, getting thinner. Add a hand with a thumb.

  6. Step 6: Puffs of colour

Above each hand draw a big round bumpy cloud of powder. Add 3 dots flying out.

Tip At Holi everyone throws handfuls of coloured powder into the air!

  7. Step 7: Trousers

Start at the bottom left corner of the T-shirt. Draw 2 long trouser legs, ending back at the right corner.

  8. Step 8: Shoes and ground

Under each leg draw a shoe, toe pointing out, with a heel and a long toe. Add a ground line.

  9. Step 9: Powder splats

Draw 3 wobbly splats on the T-shirt and 2 on the trousers, spread out and not touching.

  10. Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach, going round the cheeks, then the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Pink and yellow puffs

Colour the left puff, its dots and the left trouser splat pink, and the right ones yellow.

  12. Step 12: Blue and green splats

Colour the shirt splats blue and green, taking turns. Leave the shirt and trousers white.

  13. Step 13: Brown hair, red shoes

Colour the hair brown and the shoes red. Go over your lines and you're done.
