How to Draw a Hockey Stick
Draw a hockey stick in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: shaft and blade.
Step 1: Shaft and blade
Start near the top left. Draw a long thin stick slanting down right. End it in a short flat blade.
Tip The blade is short and flat, like an L lying down.
Step 2: Tape and grip
Draw 3 short lines across the blade for tape. Draw 3 little lines across the shaft's top for grip.
Step 3: A puck
Left of the blade, level with its bottom, draw a puck: a wide box with a flat oval on top.
Step 4: The ice
Draw a straight ice line right across the paper, just under the blade and the puck.
Step 5: Zoom lines
Left of the puck draw 3 straight zoom lines, one above the other. It looks like it is sliding!
Step 6: Snowflakes
Draw 2 little snowflakes on the right of the stick. Each is 3 short lines crossing in the middle.
Step 7: A sparkle
Up on the left draw a sparkle star: 4 points joined with curves that dip in.
Step 8: Yellow star
Colour the sparkle star yellow.
Step 9: Tan wood
Colour the shaft and the blade tan.
Step 10: Puck and tape
Colour the puck's flat top dark grey, and its side and the blade tape black. All done!
