How to Draw a Spain Flag
Draw a spain flag in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: pole and ground.
Step 1: Pole and ground
Draw a tall thin pole on the left, a ball on top, and a ground line from edge to edge.
Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the flag.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a wavy top edge, a straight right side, a wavy bottom edge.
Step 3: Two stripe lines
Draw 2 wavy lines across the flag. Start at the pole and stop at the right side.
Tip Make the middle band the widest, as tall as the other two put together.
Step 4: The shield
In the middle band, nearer the pole, draw a small shield with a flat top and a round bottom.
Tip Keep the shield small, so it fits inside the band with room to spare.
Step 5: The crown
On top of the shield draw a little crown with 3 points.
Step 6: Two pillars
Beside the shield draw a thin pillar on each side, each with a wider top and foot.
Tip Make both pillars as tall as the shield and crown together.
Step 7: Wind lines
Off the right edge of the flag draw 3 short wind lines.
Step 8: Yellow band
Colour the ball, the crown and the middle band yellow, going around the shield and the pillars.
Tip Yellow is the lightest colour, so it goes first.
Step 9: Grey pole
Colour the pole and the 2 small pillars grey.
Step 10: Red stripes
Colour the top stripe and the bottom stripe red.
Step 11: Red shield
Colour the shield red. Go over your lines and your Spain flag is waving!
