How to Draw a Hobbit House
Draw a hobbit house in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hill.
Step 1: The hill
Start low on the left. Draw a giant rainbow up over the middle, and stop low on the right.
Step 2: Round door
Near the bottom of the hill, draw a big round door like a wheel. Draw a bigger circle around it.
Step 3: Knob and planks
Put a round knob in the middle of the door. Draw a plank line up from it and one down.
Step 4: Round windows
On each side of the door, a little higher, draw a small round window with a cross inside.
Step 5: The chimney
Start on the right of the hill. Draw a chimney up, across, and back down to the hill. Add smoke.
Step 6: The ground
Draw a flat ground line under the hill, past both sides. Add a flat stepping stone just under the door.
Step 7: Flowers and grass
On each side of the hill, draw a flower on a stem with 5 round petals and some grass.
Step 8: Pink flowers
Colour the flowers pink with yellow middles.
Step 9: Yellow door, grey stone
Colour the round door yellow, and the chimney and stepping stone grey.
Step 10: Wood frames, sky windows
Colour the door frame, window rings and knob brown, and the windows sky blue.
Step 11: Green hill
Colour the hill leaf green around the door, windows, chimney and stone. Go over your lines, and it's done!
