How to Draw a Wind Turbine

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a wind turbine in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall tower.

Print

  1. Step 1: Tall tower

In the middle draw a tall thin tower, narrower going up, with a tiny flat top and a wide foot.

  2. Step 2: The hub

On the tiny flat top draw a round hub, like a ball sitting on the tower.

  3. Step 3: First blade

From the hub draw one long thin blade straight up to a pointed tip, and back down to the hub.

  4. Step 4: Two more blades

Draw 2 more blades the same way, one pointing down right and one down left, like a peace sign.

  5. Step 5: The ground

Draw a ground line from each bottom corner of the tower out to the edge of the paper.

  6. Step 6: Two bushes

A little away from each side of the tower, draw a bumpy bush on the ground with one leaf line.

  7. Step 7: The sun

In the top right draw a small round sun with 8 short rays around it.

  8. Step 8: A cloud

In the top left draw a puffy cloud: 4 bumps over the top and 2 shallow bumps underneath.

  9. Step 9: Yellow sun

Colour the sun yellow. Leave the tower, the blades and the cloud white.

  10. Step 10: Green bushes

    Colour the bushes leaf green.

  11. Step 11: Grey hub

Colour the hub slate grey. Go over all your lines and your wind turbine is done!
