How to Draw a Helping Hand
Draw a helping hand in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the helper's hand.
Step 1: The helper's hand
In the middle draw the back of a hand: a soft block leaning up right, flat at the top right.
Tip Leave room at the bottom left for the other arm.
Step 2: The first finger
Start at the block's left corner. Draw a fat curled finger out and round, and stop back on the block.
Step 3: 3 more fingers
Start where the first finger stopped. Draw 3 more fat fingers the same size, ending at the bottom corner.
Tip They stack like fat sausages round the other hand.
Step 4: The other arm
From the bottom left draw 2 arm lines up, one stopping above the first finger, one at the last finger.
Tip Bring the 2 lines closer together at the bottom, for the wrist.
Step 5: The other thumb
From the top line's end draw a thumb over the hand. Round the tip, then back to the first finger.
Step 6: The blue cuff
Across the bottom left end of the arm draw a wide cuff band, a little wider than the arm.
Step 7: The red cuff
Across the flat top right end of the helper's hand draw another wide cuff band.
Step 8: The nail
Near the thumb tip draw a small nail, round at the end like the thumb tip.
Step 9: Peach hands
Colour both hands, all the fingers and the thumb peach, nail too.
Step 10: Blue and red sleeves
Colour the bottom left sleeve blue and the helper's sleeve red. Go over your lines and you are done!
