How to Draw a Drawer

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a drawer in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dresser.

Print

  1. Step 1: The dresser

In the middle of your paper draw a big box with soft corners, a bit wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: The top

Across the top of the box draw a thin flat bar poking out a little on both sides.

  3. Step 3: Three drawers

Inside the box draw 3 long flat boxes stacked one above the other, leaving an even edge all round.

  4. Step 4: Three handles

In the middle of each drawer draw a small flat bar with round ends for the handle.

  5. Step 5: Two feet

Under the box draw a small square foot under each bottom corner.

  6. Step 6: The ground

Draw a straight ground line under the feet, from near the left edge to near the right edge.

  7. Step 7: Two sparkles

Draw a small sparkle star up on the left of the dresser and another on the right.

  8. Step 8: Yellow sparkles

Go over your lines, then colour the 2 sparkles yellow.

  9. Step 9: Sky blue drawers

Colour the 3 drawer fronts sky blue, going around the handles.

  10. Step 10: Wood handles and feet

Colour the 3 handles and the 2 feet wood brown.

  11. Step 11: Blue dresser

Colour the rest of the dresser and the top blue, around the drawers. Your dresser is ready for socks!
