How to Draw a Cowbell
Draw a cowbell in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bell.
Step 1: The bell
Above the middle draw a flat top line. Add 2 sides that lean out going down, and a bowed bottom.
Tip It is wider at the bottom than the top, not round.
Step 2: Bottom band
Start on the left side, a finger above the bottom. Draw a line across to the right side.
Step 3: A happy face
In the middle draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Add a U smile and a cheek each side.
Step 4: The clapper
Start on the middle of the bottom edge. Draw 2 short lines close together going down, ending in a ball.
Step 5: The top loop
On the flat top draw an upside-down U with a smaller upside-down U inside it. That leaves a hole.
Step 6: Leather strap
From the loop draw a strap going up to a round end. Add a stitch line each side.
Tip The strap goes behind the loop, so rub out the lines inside the loop.
Step 7: A shine line
Near the left side of the bell draw one long, thin shine line that follows the side.
Step 8: Sound lines
At each side of the bell draw one small curved sound line, like a bracket.
Step 9: Cheeks and clapper
Colour the cheeks peach and the clapper grey.
Step 10: Copper bell
Colour the bell and the loop copper orange, around the cheeks. Keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown strap
Colour the strap brown. Go over all your lines and your cowbell is done!
