How to Draw a Pepper Mill
Draw a pepper mill in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.
Step 1: The body
In the middle draw a tall tower with a waist: sides curve in, then out to a wider flat bottom.
Tip A pepper mill is a tall wooden tower you twist at the top.
Step 2: Round top
On top of the body draw a rounded dome, a little wider than the body, like half an egg.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
At the waist draw 2 big egg eyes, close together. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Twist knob
On top of the dome draw a short neck, and on it a round ball for the twist knob.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 6: Wood rings
Across the body draw 3 gentle curves bowing down: one under the dome, one lower, one near the bottom.
Step 7: Table line
Draw a long flat table line under the mill, touching its bottom and reaching well past each side.
Step 8: Peppercorns
On the table to the right draw 3 tiny peppercorn circles, 2 side by side and 1 on top.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Wood mill
Go over your lines, then colour the body and dome wood brown, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Knob and peppercorns
Colour the neck and knob dark brown and the peppercorns black. Your pepper mill is ready to twist!
