Print

  1. Step 1: The hammock

Across the middle draw a shallow U from a left point to a right point, then a deeper U below.

Tip Leave room at each side for 2 tree trunks.

  2. Step 2: 2 big eyes

In the middle of the cloth draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart. Colour a black dot in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye. Add a little oval cheek beside each end.

  4. Step 4: 2 tree trunks

Near each side draw a tall trunk from above the hammock to near the bottom, spreading out at the foot.

  5. Step 5: The ropes

Start at each point of the hammock. Draw 2 short lines out to the trunk, one higher and one lower.

  6. Step 6: Leafy tops

On top of each trunk draw a big soft round cloud of leaves.

  7. Step 7: Stripes

Near each end of the hammock draw a curved stripe from the top edge to the bottom edge.

  8. Step 8: Grass

Draw a ground line from edge to edge. Add 3 grass blades on each side, under the hammock.

  9. Step 9: Trunks and cheeks

Go over your lines. Colour the trunks wood brown and the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Green leaves

    Colour the leafy tops green.

  11. Step 11: Red hammock

Colour the hammock red around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your hammock is ready for a nap!
