How to Draw a BBQ Grill
Draw a BBQ grill in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the grate.
Step 1: The grate
A little above the middle, draw a wide flat oval about a hand across.
Step 2: The kettle
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big round U down and stop at the right end.
Tip Round like half a ball.
Step 3: Open lid
Draw a wide oval behind the grate. Start at its left end, draw a dome, stop at the right end.
Step 4: Knob and vents
On top of the lid, draw a little mushroom knob. Under it, draw 3 little dots for vents.
Step 5: Grate bars
Across the oval, draw 4 lines from side to side, a finger apart.
Step 6: Sausages
On the left of the grate, draw 2 fat little sausages with round ends, one leaning up and one flat.
Step 7: A burger
On the right of the grate, draw a flat oval burger with 2 short curved grill marks on it.
Step 8: Three legs
Start under the kettle and draw 3 legs leaning out. Draw a ground line where they stop.
Step 9: Two handles
On each side of the kettle, start just under the grate, draw a small handle and stop on the kettle.
Step 10: Smoke
Just above the lid, draw 2 short wiggly smoke lines going up, one on each side.
Step 11: Grey grate, wood handles
Colour the grate grey and the knob and handles wood brown.
Step 12: Red sausages, brown burger
Colour the sausages red and the burger brown.
Step 13: Black kettle, grey lid
Colour the lid grey. Colour its inside, the kettle and the legs black. Your barbecue is ready!
