How to Draw a Finger Lime

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a finger lime in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cut lime.

Print

  1. Step 1: The cut lime

Right of the middle, draw a C with a round nose on the left. Start top right, stop bottom right.

Tip A finger lime is long and thin like a finger, so keep it low.

  2. Step 2: The cut face

Close the open end with a tall oval, touching the top line and the bottom line.

  3. Step 3: Pearls inside

Fill the oval with 7 round pearls, 3 down the middle and 2 on each side, all touching.

  4. Step 4: A whole lime

Behind the nose, draw a long lime just as thick, with a round end. Start and stop on the nose.

  5. Step 5: Stem and leaf

On the left point draw a tiny stem with a small leaf pointing up. Start and stop on the skin.

  6. Step 6: Spilled pearls

By the cut face, draw 2 pearls on the ground with 1 on top. Add 1 more rolled away.

  7. Step 7: The ground

Draw a long ground line under both limes and the pearls, just touching their bottoms.

  8. Step 8: Pink pearls

Go over your lines. Colour every pearl pink, in the oval and on the ground.

  9. Step 9: Light green

Colour the cut face and the leaf light green, around the pink pearls.

  10. Step 10: Dark green skins

Colour both limes and the stem dark green, around the light green. Your finger lime is done!
