How to Draw a Guardian Angel
Draw a guardian angel in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw an egg head near the top, with room above for a halo. Start at the top and go round.
Tip Make the chin a bit narrower than the top.
Step 2: Kind face
In the middle of the head draw 2 oval eyes with black dots. Add a small nose and a smile.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Draw hair over the top of the head, down to eye level each side, with a fringe across.
Step 4: The halo
Above the hair draw a flat oval floating in the air. Draw a smaller oval inside it for a ring.
Step 5: Long robe
Draw 2 neck lines from the chin down to the collar. Add wide sleeves and a long, flared robe.
Tip The sleeves get wider towards the cuffs, like bells.
Step 6: Long hair
From each end of the fringe, curve the hair down beside the face and stop on the shoulder.
Step 7: Open hands
At the end of each sleeve draw a round mitten hand with a thumb, coming out of the cuff.
Step 8: Wings
Start behind each shoulder. Curve up and out to a round tip, then down in 3 feather bumps.
Tip Make both wings the same size and height.
Step 9: Slippers and ground
Under the hem draw 2 small round slippers peeking out. Draw a straight ground line under them.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck and hands peach, with 2 pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Yellow halo
Colour the halo ring and the slippers yellow. Leave the wings white.
Step 12: Blue robe
Colour the robe and its sleeves light blue.
Step 13: Brown hair
Colour the hair brown. Go over your lines. Your guardian angel is done!
