How to Draw a Grumpy Glasses Cat

Draw a grumpy glasses cat in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Step 1: Big round head
Near the top, draw a big egg on its side. Give each jaw 2 tiny fur points.
Tip The head is more than half of the whole cat.
Step 2: Pointy ears
Start on the left of the head. Draw a tall pointy ear and stop on the head. Do both.
Tip Add a small triangle inside each ear.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the middle, draw 2 big oval eyes, one eye apart, with black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Nose and flat mouth
Under the eyes, draw a small pink triangle nose. From its point, draw a short flat mouth to each side.
Step 5: Round body
Start under each cheek. Draw a big C down and round to meet in the middle at the bottom.
Tip The body is a fat pear, never wider than the head.
Step 6: Front legs
Start under the chin and draw a U leg down to a mitten paw. Add a paw curve and toes.
Tip Wide at the top, thin at the ankle. Draw both legs.
Step 7: Long curly tail
Start on the right of the body. Draw a thick tail down to the ground and curl it up.
Step 8: Back paws
Under each side of the body, draw a plump bun for the back paw. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 9: Whiskers
From each cheek, draw 3 whiskers fanning out past the head, above the fur points.
Step 10: Round glasses
Draw a big round lens around each eye, a little bridge between them, and an arm out to each side.
Step 11: The ground
Draw a long straight ground line under the paws, from the left paw to under the tail.
Step 12: White tummy, pink ears
Leave the tummy and paws white and colour the inside of each ear pink.
Step 13: Grey fur
Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail grey, around the pink. Leave the eyes, glasses, paws and tummy white.
