How to Draw a Grocery Bag
Draw a grocery bag in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bag.
Step 1: The bag
In the middle draw a tall box for the bag, taller than it is wide.
Step 2: The fold
Just below the top draw a straight line across the bag, edge to edge, for the folded-over top.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Below the fold draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek out beside each end of it.
Step 5: Long loaf
On the right draw a long loaf poking out of the bag, leaning right, like a stick with round ends.
Tip Start the loaf on the bag's top line; the bag hides its bottom.
Step 6: Leafy greens
On the left draw 3 long pointed leaves fanning up out of the bag, one straight up, one each side.
Step 7: An orange
Between the greens and loaf draw a round orange peeking out, starting and stopping on the bag's top line.
Step 8: Loaf lines and veins
On the loaf draw 3 short slanted dashes for crust cuts, and 1 line up the middle of each leaf.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a ground line from near the left edge to near the right edge, just touching the bag's bottom.
Step 10: Brown paper bag
Go over your lines, then colour the bag sandy brown, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Tan loaf, green leaves
Colour the loaf tan and the leaves green.
Step 12: Orange and pink cheeks
Colour the orange orange and the cheeks pink, and your grocery bag is done!
