How to Draw a Greenland Shark
Draw a greenland shark in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Draw a big C for the head. Start high, curve down round a blunt snout, stop under your start.
Tip A Greenland shark has a short, round snout.
Step 2: One big eye
In the top of the head, draw 1 big round eye with a big black pupil and 2 white shines.
Step 3: Back and small fin
Start at the top of the head. Draw a long back with 1 small fin. Stop where the tail begins.
Tip Keep the fin small and low. That is how you spot a Greenland shark.
Step 4: Crescent tail
From the end of the back, swing up to a point, in to a notch, then a shorter point below.
Step 5: Round tummy
Start at the chin. Draw 1 big smooth curve under the body, up to the tail.
Tip One smooth curve, no bumps.
Step 6: Gentle smile
Start on the snout. Draw a long smile under the eye and stop just past it.
Step 7: Four gills
Behind the eye, draw 4 short curves side by side, like ) ) ) ).
Step 8: Tummy stripe
Start on the smile's end. Draw 1 long curve back along the side, ending on the tummy near the tail.
Step 9: Side fin
Start on the stripe behind the gills. Draw a short fin sweeping back to a round tip, then back up.
Step 10: Five spots
On the side, between the gills and the tail, draw 5 small round spots, scattered about.
Tip Greenland sharks are speckled all over.
Step 11: Bubbles
Above the snout, draw 3 bubbles floating up: small, bigger, biggest.
Step 12: Cream tummy, blue bubbles
Colour the tummy under the smile and the stripe cream, and the bubbles light blue. Leave the side fin white.
Step 13: Grey shark
Colour the top, the fins and the tail grey, going around the spots. Leave the eye white.
Step 14: Dark spots
Colour the 5 spots black, and your Greenland shark is ready for the icy sea.
