How to Draw a Mountain Goat
Draw a mountain goat in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left draw a big round head with soft cheeks. Leave lots of room on the right.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes with black dots and a triangle nose. From the nose draw a line into a smile.
Step 3: Horns and ears
On top of the head draw 2 short horns leaning back. On each top corner draw a leaf-shaped ear.
Step 4: Neck
From behind the head draw a short neck line down to the right. Under the chin draw one straight down.
Step 5: Shaggy body
From the neck draw a long back, a round rump and a bumpy skirt, then up to the chin line.
Tip The shaggy skirt hangs low: only the bottom of the legs shows.
Step 6: Two legs
From under the chest draw a front leg that gets thinner down to a hoof. Add a back leg.
Step 7: Far legs and ground
Beside each leg, towards the middle, add a thinner leg and hoof. Draw a ground line across the page.
Step 8: Little tail
On the top corner of the bottom draw a little leaf-shaped tail pointing up, like a small flag.
Step 9: Beard
Under the chin draw a little pointed beard, like a small leaf hanging down.
Step 10: Cream coat
Go over your lines. Colour the coat cream and the ear insides peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Black horns and hooves
Colour the horns and the hooves black.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a mountain goat, drawn by you.
