How to Draw a Tunic Hero

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a tunic hero in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave room above and right for a long floppy cap.

  2. Step 2: Friendly face

Across the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a small nose and a smile below them.

  3. Step 3: Pointed ears

Start on each side of the head. Draw a pointed ear out and up, and stop back on the head.

  4. Step 4: Long pointed cap

Draw a cap over the head with a long floppy point drooping right. Add a curve across the forehead.

  5. Step 5: Neck and tunic

Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one, draw a tunic over to the right. Add a belt and buckle.

  6. Step 6: Long sleeves

From each short sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending at the elbow. Add a cuff line.

  7. Step 7: Mitten hands

At each wrist, draw a round mitten no wider than the cuff, with a thumb toward the body.

  8. Step 8: Legs

Under the tunic, draw 2 lines for each leg, getting narrower. Start on the hem, stop where the boots begin.

  9. Step 9: Boots and ground

Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a ground line under the boots.

  10. Step 10: Shield on the back

Behind the left arm, draw a shield peeking out, with a flat top and a pointed bottom. Add a rim.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin

Colour the face, ears, neck, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks.

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Buckle and shield

Colour the buckle and the shield rim yellow, and the middle of the shield blue.

  13. Step 13: Green cap and tunic

Colour the cap, tunic and sleeves green. Colour the belt and boots brown. Your tunic hero is done!
