How to Draw a Leg
Draw a leg in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: shorts cuff.
Step 1: Shorts cuff
Near the top of your paper draw the bottom of some shorts: a wide box, narrower at the bottom.
Tip The leg reaches nearly to the bottom of the page.
Step 2: The thigh
From each bottom corner of the shorts draw a line down, getting closer together. Stop halfway down the page.
Step 3: The knee
From each thigh line draw a round knee bump and stop a bit lower. Add a kneecap curve between.
Tip The knee is a gentle bump, not a corner.
Step 4: The shin
From each knee bump draw a line down, bowing out for the calf and in to a thin ankle.
Step 5: Sock top
Start on the left shin line just above its end. Draw a gentle curve across to the right shin line.
Step 6: The sneaker
Under the sock draw a big sneaker shaped like a hill, much wider than the ankle, with a flat bottom.
Step 7: Laces and toe cap
Draw a sole line across the sneaker's bottom, a rainbow toe cap sitting on it, and 2 lace curves above.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long line across under the sneaker for the ground.
Step 9: Colour the leg peach
Colour the leg peach, from the shorts down to the sock.
Step 10: Blue shorts, red sneaker
Colour the shorts blue and the sneaker red, leaving the sock and the sole white. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a leg, drawn by you.
