How to Draw a Green Bean Casserole
Draw a green bean casserole in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Below the middle draw a wide flat oval for the top of the dish, nearly as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The dish
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a shallow U down and round, ending at the right end.
Tip A casserole dish is low and wide, not deep like a bowl.
Step 3: Handles
Under the rim on each side draw a small C handle from the side, curving out and back to it.
Step 4: The heap
On the dish draw a low smooth hill, from the rim's left end over to its right end.
Step 5: Green beans
Across the heap draw 3 long thin beans lying down, each 2 close lines with round ends, leaning different ways.
Step 6: More beans
Draw 2 more beans lower down, in the gaps under the first ones, not touching them.
Step 7: Crispy onions
In clear spaces between the beans draw 5 little curly C shapes for crispy onion bits.
Step 8: Stripes
Draw 2 bowed lines round the dish under the rim, from the left side to the right.
Step 9: Steam
Above the heap draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up, one each side.
Step 10: The table
Draw a line under the dish from left to right, just touching its bottom.
Step 11: Cream dish, sky stripe
Go over your lines, then colour the dish and handles cream, and the band between the stripes sky blue.
Step 12: Tan heap
Colour the heap tan around the beans and onion bits.
Step 13: Beans and onions
Colour the beans leaf green and the crispy onion bits ginger.

Your finished drawing
