How to Draw a Greek Gyro Plate
Draw a Greek gyro plate in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
In the middle draw a big flat oval plate, as wide as your hand and half as tall.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second oval a finger inside the plate for the rim.
Step 3: Gyro meat
On the left of the plate draw a heap of 5 thin wavy meat strips, crossing each other.
Tip A gyro plate is meat, fries, pita and tzatziki served open on a platter.
Step 4: Fries
At the top right draw 5 fat fries crossing at different angles, like a little heap.
Step 5: Tzatziki
On the right draw a small round cup of white sauce. Add 2 cucumber half-moons in it.
Step 6: Pita wedges
At the bottom draw 2 pita triangles with a sharp point and a round outer edge, one tucked behind.
Step 7: Tomato
Draw a half-round tomato above the meat heap and a smaller one between the meat and the pita.
Step 8: Parsley
Below the meat draw a little parsley sprig: a short stem with 3 pointed leaves.
Step 9: Brown meat, yellow fries
Go over your lines, then colour the meat brown and the fries yellow.
Step 10: White sauce, tan pita
Colour the tzatziki white with its cup, and the pita wedges tan.
Step 11: Red tomato, green bits
Colour the tomatoes red and the cucumber and parsley leaves green.
Step 12: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, around all the food.
