How to Draw a Wrench
Draw a wrench in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the jaw head.
Step 1: The jaw head
Start on the left. Draw a round head with a square bite out of its top. Stop on the right.
Tip The square bite is the jaw that grips a nut.
Step 2: A happy face
Under the jaw draw 2 big eyes with a black dot and a shine in each, then a U smile.
Step 3: The handle
From under the head draw 2 long lines straight down, a thumb apart. Stop a hand above the bottom.
Step 4: The ring end
From the bottom of one handle line draw a big round ring down and back up to the other line.
Step 5: The hole
Inside the ring draw a smaller circle in the middle: the hole that fits over a bolt.
Step 6: Two cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 7: A shine
Inside the left side of the head draw a small banana-shaped shine that follows the curve.
Step 8: Ground and a nut
Draw a ground line under the ring. On the right draw a 6-sided nut with a round hole in it.
Step 9: Cheeks and nut
Colour the cheeks peach and the nut yellow, leaving the hole in the nut white.
Step 10: Grey metal
Colour the head, handle and ring grey around the cheeks, leaving the eyes, shine and hole white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a wrench, drawn by you.
