How to Draw Grandparents
Draw grandparents in 16 steps, about 12 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two heads.
Step 1: Two heads
Near the top of your paper draw 2 eggs for the heads, side by side with a gap between.

Step 2: Grandpa's face
On the left head draw dot eyes, brows, a nose, a smile and C ears starting and ending on it.
Step 3: Grandma's face
On the right head draw 2 dot eyes with a shine, a small nose and a smile.
Step 4: Glasses and moustache
Draw round glasses on both heads, a big circle round each eye. Give grandpa a bushy moustache under his nose.
Step 5: Hair and bun
Above each ear start a bumpy tuft on grandpa's head, ending on it. Add grandma's hair and bun.
Step 6: Cardigan
Draw 2 neck lines under grandpa's chin. From them draw a buttoned cardigan with a collar, back to the neck.
Step 7: Long dress
Under grandma's chin draw 2 neck lines. From them draw a long, wide dress, back to the neck.
Step 8: Arms
From each short sleeve draw a long sleeve down to a curved cuff. The inner 2 meet in the middle.
Step 9: Holding hands
Draw a mitten hand under each outer cuff. In the middle draw the 2 inner mittens overlapping, holding hands.
Step 10: Trousers and legs
Start at the cardigan's left corner. Draw trousers with 2 legs, stopping at the right corner. Add grandma's 2 legs.
Step 11: Shoes and ground
Draw a shoe at the bottom of each leg, toe pointing out. Draw one ground line under all the shoes.
Step 12: Walking stick
Start on the ground under grandpa's outer hand. Draw a stick up behind the hand, curling into a hook.
Step 13: Grandpa's skin
Colour grandpa's face, ears, neck and hands peach, around the moustache, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 14: Grandma's skin
Colour grandma's face, neck, hands and legs peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 15: Grey hair, green cardigan
Colour all the hair and the moustache grey, and grandpa's cardigan and sleeves green.
Step 16: Purple dress, brown trousers
Colour grandma's dress and sleeves purple, and the trousers and shoes brown. Go over your lines and you're done!
