How to Draw a Goliath Frog
Draw a Goliath frog in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and body.
Step 1: Head and body
Draw one big fat bean: high and round on the left for the head, sloping low on the right.
Tip A goliath frog is the biggest frog in the world, so go big.
Step 2: Big eye on top
On top of the head draw one big round eye bulging up, with a black dot and white shine.
Tip Frog eyes sit on top of the head like headlights.
Step 3: Wide smile
Start at the nose tip, draw a long wide smile and stop behind the eye. Dot a nostril.
Step 4: Round ear
Behind the eye, a little lower, draw one round circle for the ear.
Tip Like a coin stuck on its head.
Step 5: Big back thigh
On the back of the body draw a big egg on its side, fat end poking out behind.
Step 6: Long back foot
Under the thigh draw a round heel at the back and a long flat foot forward, ending in 3 toes.
Tip The leg folds up like a spring, ready to jump.
Step 7: Front leg
From the chest draw a thick front leg down, narrower at the wrist, to a flat hand with 3 toes.
Step 8: Flat river stone
Rule a ground line. Draw a wide flat stone under the frog: start and stop on the line.
Step 9: Tummy line and spots
Draw a tummy line from the smile back to the thigh. Add 3 round spots on the back.
Step 10: Cream tummy, light spots
Colour the tummy band under the smile cream. Then colour the ear and the spots light leaf green.
Step 11: Colour it green
Go over your lines, then colour the frog green around the tummy, ear and spots. Leave the eye white.
Step 12: Grey stone
Colour the flat stone grey. Your goliath frog is done!
