How to Draw a Cat Face
Draw a cat face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a huge egg on its side that fills most of the page, with chubby cheeks below the middle.
Tip Give each cheek 2 soft round fur bumps. Round the bottom into a soft chin.
Step 2: Pointy ears
Start on each side of the head. Draw a tall pointy ear and stop back on the head line.
Tip Ears lean out a little.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes, 1 eye apart. Put a black dot in each.
Tip Leave a tiny white speck in each dot for the shine.
Step 4: Nose and W smile
Below the eyes draw a small upside-down triangle nose. From its point draw a wide W smile.
Tip Both smile curves start at the nose point and stop under the eyes.
Step 5: Inside the ears
Draw a small triangle inside each ear, pointing up the same way as the ear.
Step 6: Forehead stripes
Between the ears draw 3 short stripes down the forehead. Start a little below the head line.
Step 7: Long whiskers
Start on the head line above the fur bumps. Draw 3 whiskers out each side, stopping before the edge.
Tip Whiskers grow out from the face line. Never draw them across the face.
Step 8: Whisker dots
Dot 3 little whisker spots on each side of the nose.
Step 9: Pink nose and cheeks
Colour the nose and the ear insides pink, and colour a soft pink oval on each cheek.
Step 10: Colour the fur ginger
Colour the head and ears ginger, around the pink cheeks, nose and ear insides. Leave the eyes white.
