How to Draw a Gingerbread Guy
Draw a gingerbread guy in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: cookie head.
Step 1: Cookie head
Near the top, start left of the middle. Draw a big upside-down U, stopping level with the start.
Tip Leave a finger gap at the bottom for the neck.
Step 2: Face and icing
Draw 2 big oval eyes, a smile and 2 cheek circles. Zigzag icing across the top of the head.
Step 3: Plump arms
From the neck gap, draw a plump arm out to a mitten and back, ending below the cheek. Same right.
Tip Cookie arms are short and fat with round mitten ends.
Step 4: The table
Draw a long straight table line across the paper, about one head below the mittens.
Step 5: Tummy and legs
Start at each armpit. Bow out for the tummy, swing down to a fat foot on the table, then up.
Tip The legs lean out like a V, feet wider than the tummy.
Step 6: Icing waves
Near each mitten and above each foot, draw 3 little waves from one side line across to the other.
Step 7: Bow tie
Below the chin, draw a bow tie: 2 triangles with their points meeting at a small square knot.
Step 8: Gumdrop buttons
Down the middle of the tummy, draw 3 little gumdrops: each a small dome with a flat bottom.
Step 9: Ginger cookie, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the cookie ginger around them, leaving the eyes, tie and gumdrops white.
Step 10: Red and green gumdrops
Colour the top and bottom gumdrops red and the middle one green.
Step 11: Blue bow tie
Colour the bow tie blue. Go over your lines and you are done.
