How to Draw a Germ Monster
Draw a germ monster in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bumpy ball.
Step 1: Bumpy ball
In the middle of your paper, draw a big bumpy ball: a circle with soft little bumps all round.
Tip Keep the bumps small and soft; the spikes come later.
Step 2: Big eye, small eye
Above the middle, draw a big round eye on the left and a smaller eye on the right, with dots.
Step 3: Wonky grin
Under the eyes, draw a big crooked open mouth, higher on the right. Add 2 square teeth and a tongue.
Tip Keep the teeth inside the mouth, apart from each other.
Step 4: Eyebrows
Above each eye, draw a short curved eyebrow, like a little rainbow.
Step 5: Spikes all round
Round the ball, draw 7 short stubby spikes poking out, evenly spaced. Leave gaps at the sides and bottom.
Tip The sides are for arms, the bottom for feet.
Step 6: Wiggly arms
From each side of the ball, draw an arm that bends down a little and gets narrower at the wrist.
Step 7: Mitten hands
At the end of each arm, draw a round mitten with a little thumb bump pointing up.
Step 8: Feet and ground
Under the ball, draw 2 little oval feet poking out, a gap apart, with toes. Add a ground line.
Step 9: Spots
Draw 3 round spots on the ball: 2 on the sides and 1 near the top, away from the face.
Step 10: Pink tongue, red mouth
Go over your lines. Colour the tongue pink and the mouth red around it. Leave the eyes and teeth white.
Step 11: Purple spots
Colour the 3 spots purple.
Step 12: Green germ
Colour the germ green all over, around the eyes, mouth and spots. Your germ monster is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a germ monster, drawn by you.
