How to Draw a Valentine Mailbox
Draw a Valentine mailbox in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box front.
Step 1: The box front
A little below the middle of your paper draw a wide box lying down.
Tip A valentine mailbox is a shoebox with a slot for cards.
Step 2: The top and side
From the top corners draw 2 short slanted lines up right and join them. Add a slanted side line down.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the left half of the front draw 2 round eyes close together. Add a black dot with a shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Start under the left eye and draw a U smile to the right eye. Add a cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The lid line
Draw a line across the front a little below the top, edge to edge. Carry it along the side.
Step 6: The slot
On the top draw a long thin slanted box for the slot, where the cards go in.
Step 7: An envelope
Poking up out of the slot draw a slanted envelope box. Add a V from its top corners.
Step 8: Hearts
Decorate the box with hearts: a big one on the front right, 2 smaller ones, and one on the side.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a ground line along the bottom of the box, from near the left edge to near the right edge.
Step 10: Two sparkles
Draw a 4-point sparkle high up on each side of the box.
Step 11: Pink box, yellow sparkles
Colour the sparkles yellow. Colour the box pink, around the cheeks, hearts, slot and envelope. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red hearts, grey slot
Colour the hearts and cheeks red and the slot grey. Your valentine mailbox is done!
