How to Draw Gelato
Draw gelato in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cup.
Step 1: The cup
Start on the left. Slant down and in, go flat across, then slant up to the right. Add a rim.
Tip Put it below the middle of your paper; the rim is a flat oval.
Step 2: Left scoop
In the left half of the cup, draw a round scoop sitting in the rim, like a plump hill.
Tip Its bottom hides behind the rim.
Step 3: Right scoop
In the right half, draw a second scoop the same, tucked behind the first where they meet.
Step 4: A paddle spoon
Poking up from the right scoop, draw a little paddle spoon: a short flat handle with a rounded end.
Step 5: A wafer
Stuck into the left scoop, leaning up left, draw a slanted box wafer with 3 short lines across it.
Step 6: A mint leaf
Where the two scoops meet draw a little leaf standing up, pointed at the tip, with a vein line.
Step 7: Band and table
Draw a curve across the cup below the rim for a band, and a table line under the cup.
Step 8: Pink and yellow gelato
Go over your lines, then colour the left scoop pink and the right scoop yellow, stopping at the rim.
Step 9: Sky blue cup
Colour the cup sky blue below the band. Leave the band at the top of the cup white.
Step 10: Tan wafer, green leaf
Colour the wafer tan and the leaf green.
Step 11: Wood paddle
Colour the paddle spoon wood brown, and your gelato is done!
