12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a gazelle in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top left of your paper, draw a big round head, a little taller than wide.

Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the body.

  2. Step 2: Eyes and nose

Halfway down the head draw 2 big eyes. Add a triangle nose. From it, draw down to a w smile.

  3. Step 3: Horns and ears

Draw 2 slim horns on top, bending out then in at the tips, with 3 rings each. Add leaf ears.

  4. Step 4: The neck

Slope a line down right from the head's side, one down from the chin. Stop both half a head long.

Tip The neck gets wider toward the body.

  5. Step 5: The body

From the bottom of the neck, draw a big soft bean body: long back, round bottom, tummy to chest.

  6. Step 6: Two legs

From the chest draw a front leg with a round knee, down to a hoof. Add a bent back leg.

Tip A hoof is a little doorstop with a flat bottom.

  7. Step 7: Far legs and ground

Draw a thin far leg behind the front leg, one in front of the back leg. Add a ground line.

Tip Only draw the parts you can see.

  8. Step 8: The tail

On the top corner of the bottom, draw a little leaf tail pointing up and back, like a small flag.

  9. Step 9: The side stripe

Draw a long band along the lower side, from the chest to the back. Make it thin at both ends.

  10. Step 10: Peach ears, cream tummy

Go over your lines. Colour the ear insides peach and the tummy cream. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Colour it tan

Colour the head, ears, neck, body, legs and tail tan. Go around the peach, the cream and the stripe.

Tip Leave the stripe and the hooves for the dark crayons.

  12. Step 12: Brown stripe, grey horns

Colour the stripe dark brown, and the horns and hooves grey.
