How to Draw a Garden Trowel Set
Draw a garden trowel set in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pot.
Step 1: The pot
Low on your paper draw a flowerpot: a wide flat rim with a tub under it, narrower at the bottom.
Tip The tools stand handle-down in the pot, blades pointing up.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the pot draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek at each end.
Step 4: The trowel
Draw a handle from the rim on the left, a short neck, and a wide blade with a pointy top.
Step 5: The fork
In the middle draw a fat handle rising from the rim, a small box on top, and 3 thin prongs.
Step 6: The claw tool
On the right draw another fat handle with a small box on top, and 3 curved claws bending up.
Step 7: A leaf
Beside the bottom of the pot, on the right, draw a small pointed leaf lying down.
Step 8: Ground and sparkles
Draw a ground line under the pot from left to right, and a sparkle in the air on each side.
Step 9: Orange pot
Go over your lines, then colour the pot and rim orange. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Wood handles, grey metal
Colour the 3 handles wood brown and the blade, prongs and claws grey.
Step 11: Green leaf, pink cheeks
Colour the leaf green and the cheeks pink. Time to dig!
