How to Draw a Cassette Tape
Draw a cassette tape in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cassette shell.
Step 1: The cassette shell
In the middle of your paper draw one long box lying down, twice as wide as tall, with rounded corners.
Step 2: The window
In the top half of the shell draw a smaller long box for the window, leaving a band above it.
Step 3: Reel eyes
In the window draw 2 big tape rings joined underneath. Draw a round eye with a black dot in each.
Step 4: The mouth tray
Under the window draw a tray: a line across, slanting out and down on each side, joined at the bottom.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Inside the tray draw a big U smile from side to side. Add a small oval cheek on each side.
Step 6: Label stripes
In the band above the window draw 2 long straight lines across, one above the other.
Step 7: 4 screws
Draw a tiny round screw in each corner of the shell.
Step 8: Notes and ground
Draw a music note floating above each top corner. Draw a long ground line under the cassette, edge to edge.
Step 9: Cream window, grey tray
Colour the window cream around the tape rings, and the tray light grey. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, purple notes
Colour the cheeks pink and the music notes purple.
Step 11: Brown tape, blue shell
Go over your lines. Colour the tape brown and the shell blue around the window, tray and cheeks. Press play!
