How to Draw a Gaga Ball Pit
Draw a gaga ball pit in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ball.
Step 1: The ball
In the middle of your paper draw a round ball, as big as a lemon.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the ball draw 2 egg eyes, an eye apart. Add a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: The back walls
Behind the ball draw a flat back panel, then 2 short slanted panels at each end coming toward you.
Tip Rub out where the ball covers the walls.
Step 5: The front walls
In front of the ball draw a wide bottom panel, with a slanted panel at each end joining the back.
Tip Count your walls: a gaga pit has 8.
Step 6: Plank lines
Draw long plank lines along the front panels: 2 in the middle, 1 on each slanted end.
Tip Add one line on each slanted back panel too.
Step 7: Bounce marks
Draw a curved dash on each side of the ball, near its top, to show it bouncing.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line across under the pit. Start near the left edge and stop near the right edge.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 fat 4-point sparkles above the pit, with room inside to colour.
Step 10: Tan walls, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the back walls tan and the sparkles yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, red ball
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the ball red around the cheeks.
Step 12: Green floor, brown walls
Colour the floor green around the ball and the front walls wood brown. Your gaga pit is done!
