How to Draw a Fruit Bowl
Draw a fruit bowl in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bowl.
Step 1: The bowl
Draw a wide flat oval rim. From its left end, hang a big U round to the right end.
Step 2: An apple
A little left of the middle, draw a big round apple with a dip on top. Stop at the rim.
Tip Only the top of the apple shows above the rim.
Step 3: Stem and leaf
From the dip, draw a short stem. Add a fat leaf pointing left, with a line down its middle.
Step 4: An orange
On the right, draw a big round orange from the apple round to the rim. Dot a circle on top.
Step 5: A banana
Behind the apple and orange, draw a banana lying across the top, with a flat stalk end on the right.
Step 6: Grapes
On the left, inside the rim and peeking out behind the apple, draw 4 little round grapes bunched together.
Step 7: The foot
Under the middle of the bowl, draw a short flat foot, a little wider at the bottom.
Step 8: Table and shadow
Draw a thin flat oval shadow round the bottom of the foot. Add a table line out from each side.
Step 9: A stripe
Near the bottom of the bowl, draw a gentle smile from one side across to the other for a stripe.
Step 10: Cream and grey
Go over your lines. Colour the bowl under the stripe cream and the shadow grey.
Step 11: Yellow and orange
Colour the banana yellow and the orange orange.
Step 12: Red apple, green leaf
Colour the apple red and the leaf green.
Step 13: Brown stem, blue bowl
Colour the stem brown. Colour the bowl above the stripe, the foot and the inside blue, around the fruit.
Step 14: Purple grapes
Colour the grapes purple, and your fruit bowl is full!
