How to Draw a Frog Prince with Crown

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a frog prince with crown in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Wide head

Left of the middle, draw a wide head with a flat top and a round chin.

Tip Make it wider than tall. Leave room on top for the eyes and a crown.

  2. Step 2: Eyes on top

On each top corner of the head draw a big circle eye. Add a black pupil with a white shine.

Tip Each eye sits half on the head and half above it.

  3. Step 3: Smile and nostrils

Start under the left eye. Draw a wide smile across to under the right eye. Dot 2 nostrils above it.

  4. Step 4: Gold crown

Between the eyes draw a little crown sitting on the head: a cup shape with 3 points on top.

Tip Make the middle point the tallest. Rub out the head line inside the crown.

  5. Step 5: Squat tummy

Under the head draw a fat round tummy, wider at the bottom but narrower than the head.

  6. Step 6: Belly patch

In the middle of the tummy draw one big oval for the belly patch.

  7. Step 7: Arms and hands

From under each cheek draw an arm down to the bottom of the tummy. End it in 3 round fingers.

Tip Bend each arm out a little at the elbow. Rub out the tummy line inside the arms.

  8. Step 8: Folded knees

Behind each arm draw a fat bean knee sticking out to the side.

Tip A sitting frog folds its back legs, so all you see is a big round knee.

  9. Step 9: Webbed feet

Under each knee draw a flat foot pointing out, with 3 round toes.

  10. Step 10: Golden ball

Right of the frog draw a round ball, level with the feet and a little smaller than an eye.

  11. Step 11: Lily pad

Around the frog and the ball draw a wide flat oval lily pad. Cut a V notch in the front.

Tip Lift your pencil where the frog and the ball are in the way.

  12. Step 12: Cream and gold

Colour the belly patch cream. Colour the crown and the ball yellow, with a white shine on the ball.

  13. Step 13: Green frog prince

Colour the frog light green, around the belly patch. Leave the eyes white.

  14. Step 14: Dark lily pad

Colour the lily pad dark green, around the frog and the ball. Your frog prince is done!
