How to Draw a Fox Sleeping
Draw a fox sleeping in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: fox head.
Step 1: Fox head
On the left, draw a head with a dome top, fur tufts on each cheek and a soft pointed chin.
Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the curled-up body.
Step 2: Tall ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall triangle ear leaning out, with a smaller triangle inside.
Step 3: Sleepy eyes
Across the middle of the head, draw 2 closed eyes, each a little upside-down U, about an eye apart.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Under the eyes, draw a long teardrop snout poking below the chin. Add a black nose and a sleepy smile.
Step 5: Curled body
Start under the right ear. Draw a big bean lying behind the head, back under the tummy. Add a leg.
Tip The body is about twice as wide as the head.
Step 6: Tucked paw
Under the chin, draw a small mitten paw poking down from the body, back to it. Add 2 toe lines.
Step 7: Bushy tail
From the back end, draw a fat tail round the front, curling up by the paw. Add a ground line.
Tip Stop the tail at the paw, then rub out the body line inside the tail.
Step 8: White tip
Near the tip of the tail, draw 1 short curve across it. Everything past that is the white tip.
Step 9: Sleepy zzz
Right of the ears, draw 3 little z's floating up, each one a bit bigger.
Step 10: White and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the snout and tail tip white, and the ear insides pink.
Step 11: Orange fur, black tips
Colour the fox orange around the white and pink parts, then the ear tips black.

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a fox sleeping, drawn by you.
