How to Draw a Lobster
Draw a lobster in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: shield head.
Step 1: Shield head
Above the middle, draw a soft rounded shield for the head, wider than tall, with a flatter bottom.
Step 2: Two long feelers
From the top of the head, draw 2 long thin feelers curving up and out to points.
Step 3: Big eyes
Inside the head, draw 2 round eyes side by side with a gap. Add black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Two big claws
On each side of the head, draw a fat bent arm going out and up. Add a big mitten claw.
Step 5: Happy face
Under the eyes, draw a small smile with a little round cheek on each side.
Step 6: The tail
Under the head, draw a tail narrowing down to a flat bottom. Draw 4 curved lines across it.
Step 7: Tail fan
On the bottom edge of the tail, draw 5 round lobes fanning out, the middle one pointing straight down.
Step 8: Little legs
On each side of the tail, draw 3 legs, thinner as they curve out and down to round tips.
Step 9: Sand and bubbles
Draw a straight sand line touching the bottom of the tail fan. Draw 3 bubbles floating up between the feelers.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, sandy ground
Colour the cheeks pink, then colour a sandy strip under the sand line.
Step 11: Red head and claws
Colour the head, arms and claws red, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red tail and legs
Colour the tail, the tail fan and all the little legs red too.
