How to Draw a Pelican Face
Draw a pelican face in 9 easy steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
In the upper right of the page draw a big round head. Leave the left side free for the bill.
Step 2: Bill and pouch
From the front of the head draw a huge bill pointing left. Give it a baggy pouch underneath.
Step 3: Bill line
Start at the point of the bill. Draw one long line back under the top edge, stopping on the head.
Step 4: Big eye
On the head, just above the bill, draw one big round eye with a black dot and white shine.
Step 5: Nostril
Near the point of the bill, draw a tiny oval nostril on the top part.
Step 6: Feather tuft
Start on top of the head. Draw 3 little feather bumps in a row, and stop on the head.
Step 7: Rosy cheek
Colour a small oval of pink blush on the cheek behind the eye.
Step 8: Cream head
Colour the head and the feather tuft cream, around the pink cheek. Leave the eye white.
Step 9: Yellow bill, orange pouch
Colour the top of the bill yellow and the big baggy pouch under the line orange.
