How to Draw Flippers
Draw flippers in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: left fin.
Step 1: Left fin
On the left, draw a long fin with a round heel at the bottom and a wide, dipped top.
Tip The top is about twice as wide as the heel.
Step 2: Right fin
Beside it on the right, draw the same fin, with a small gap between the 2 wide tops.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the left blade, draw 2 big egg eyes with black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a small U smile, and a tiny oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Foot pockets
Low on each fin, draw a rainbow curve from one edge across to the other for the foot pocket.
Step 6: Foot holes
Inside each pocket, near the heel, draw a big oval hole where your foot slides in.
Step 7: Blade ridges
On each blade, draw 2 long ridge lines close to the edges, from the pocket curve almost to the top.
Tip Keep the ridges out beside the face, never on it.
Step 8: Two sparkles
On each side of the flippers, level with the foot holes, draw a small sparkle star.
Step 9: Yellow and pink
Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Blue blades
Colour both blades blue, around the face and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Navy pockets
Colour the foot holes grey, then the pockets navy around them. Your flippers are ready!
