How to Draw a Kiddie Pool

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a kiddie pool in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ring top.

Print

  1. Step 1: The ring top

Near the middle of your paper, draw a big flat oval, much wider than tall, for the ring top.

Tip Leave room under it for the puffy side.

  2. Step 2: The puffy side

Draw a puffy U from the oval's left end to its right end. Add a low curve across it.

Tip The low curve splits the side into 2 fat blow-up tubes.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the front of the side draw 2 big round eyes a finger apart. Add a black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, and a little oval cheek at each end.

  5. Step 5: The inside edge

Inside the big oval draw a smaller flat oval, a finger in from the edge, for the water hole.

  6. Step 6: Water waves

Inside the small oval draw 3 little wavy lines at different heights: a short, a middle and a long one.

  7. Step 7: A beach ball

On the right of the water draw a round ball floating, with a curved stripe each side of its middle.

  8. Step 8: Splashes

Just above the ball draw 3 little splash drops in a fan, their points aiming down at the ball.

  9. Step 9: The grass

Draw a ground line from edge to edge, just touching the ring. Add 3 little grass blades at each end.

  10. Step 10: Cheeks and water

Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink, then the water and splash drops light blue, around the ball.

  11. Step 11: Red ball stripe

Colour the ball's middle stripe red. Leave its two side parts white.

  12. Step 12: Blue ring

Colour the ring top and side blue, around the face and ball. Leave the eyes white. Your pool is ready!
