How to Draw a Flaming Heart
Draw a flaming heart in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big heart.
Step 1: The big heart
In the lower half of your paper draw a big heart: 2 fat humps on top, a point below.
Tip Leave the top half empty for the flames.
Step 2: Tall middle flame
Start on the left hump. Draw a tall flame up to a point, then down to the right hump.
Tip A flame is fat at the bottom and pointy on top.
Step 3: Two side flames
On each side, start on the heart. Curve out and up to a point, then back to the tall flame.
Step 4: Two small flames
Lower down each side, draw a smaller flame. Start on the heart and stop on the side flame.
Step 5: Inner flame
Inside the tall flame, start in the heart's dip. Draw a thin flame up to a point and back down.
Step 6: Two sparks
Draw a tiny teardrop spark floating on each side of the tall flame's tip.
Step 7: The shine
On the right hump of the heart, draw a small curved sausage for a shine.
Step 8: Yellow flame
Go over your lines. Colour the inner flame and the 2 sparks yellow.
Step 9: Orange flames
Colour the 5 big flames orange, around the yellow flame.
Step 10: Red heart
Colour the heart red, around the shine. Leave the shine white. Your flaming heart is done!
