How to Draw a Beaker
Draw a beaker in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the glass.
Step 1: The glass
In the middle, draw a tall glass: a flat top with a lip each end, sides and a flat bottom.
Tip Sharp corners at the top lip, soft round corners at the bottom.
Step 2: The liquid
Halfway down the glass, start on the left side. Draw a wavy line across and stop on the right side.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the liquid, draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a big black dot and a white shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Measuring marks
On the right side above the liquid, draw 3 short lines from the edge inward, evenly spaced.
Step 6: Bubbles in the potion
Low in the liquid, under the face, draw 3 small round bubbles.
Step 7: Bubbles over the top
Above the glass, draw 3 more bubbles popping out over the rim.
Step 8: Glass shine
On the left of the empty part of the glass, draw 1 long and 1 short line straight down.
Step 9: Shadow and table
Draw a thin flat oval shadow around the bottom of the glass. Add a table line out from each end.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Grey shadow, sky bubbles
Colour the shadow grey and the top bubbles sky blue. Leave the empty glass white so it looks clear.
Step 12: Green potion
Go over your lines. Colour the liquid green around the face, leaving the bubbles white. Your beaker is done!
Tip Leave the eyes white.
