How to Draw a Fjord Horse
Draw a fjord horse in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left draw a big round head with soft cheeks. Leave lots of room on the right.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes with black dots. Under them draw a big egg nose with 2 nostrils and a smile.
Step 3: Ears and fringe
On each top corner draw a tall pointy ear with a leaf inside. Add 3 bumps of hair between.
Step 4: Thick neck
Draw a line from the right cheek down to the back, and one from under the chin to the chest.
Step 5: Bean body
From the neck draw a big soft bean body, wider than the head, with a round bottom.
Step 6: Two-tone mane
From the head draw a smooth arch over the neck down to the back. Add a band along its middle.
Tip A fjord horse's mane stands up like a brush, never a fan.
Step 7: Ground line
Draw a long straight ground line low down, almost from edge to edge.
Step 8: Two legs
From the chest draw a front leg down to a hoof. Add a back leg with one bend.
Tip A hoof is a little doorstop, flat on the ground.
Step 9: Far legs
Behind each leg draw a far leg peeking out, down to its own hoof.
Step 10: Bushy tail
From the top corner of the bottom draw a bushy teardrop tail hanging down, fat in the middle.
Step 11: Cream parts
Go over your lines. Colour the nose, fringe, tail and mane cream, but not the mane band.
Step 12: Colour it sand
Colour the rest sand, around the cream, but not the ear insides, mane band or hooves. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Peach and grey
Colour the ear insides peach. Colour the mane band and the 4 hooves dark grey.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a fjord horse, drawn by you.
