How to Draw a Firefighter Helmet
Draw a firefighter helmet in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall dome.
Step 1: The tall dome
Start on the left. Draw a tall dome, stop level with the start, and join the ends underneath.
Tip Make both sides of the dome match.
Step 2: The brim
Start at the dome's bottom-left. Draw a wide brim out, under the front and back up to the bottom-right.
Tip The brim sticks out a long way on both sides.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the lower half of the dome draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot and a shine.
Tip Leave room above the eyes for a badge.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The badge
Above the eyes draw a badge: a flat top, straight sides and a point at the bottom.
Step 6: Two ribs
Start on top of the dome, beside the badge. Draw a curved line down each side to the bottom.
Tip Keep the ribs outside the cheeks.
Step 7: Brim edge
A finger above the bottom of the brim, draw a matching curve from tip to tip.
Step 8: A little flame
Inside the badge draw a small flame, pointed at the top and round at the bottom.
Step 9: The table
Draw a straight table line under the helmet, from side to side.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow badge
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the badge yellow, going around the flame.
Step 11: Orange flame, red helmet
Colour the flame orange. Colour the dome and brim red around the badge and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
