How to Draw a Cornucopia
Draw a cornucopia in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the horn's mouth.
Step 1: The horn's mouth
Left of the middle, draw a tall oval standing up. Draw a smaller oval inside it for the rim.
Step 2: The curly horn
From the oval's top, draw a line sloping down, then curling up to a point. Come back along the ground.
Tip The horn is fat at the mouth and gets thinner all the way to its curly tip.
Step 3: Woven bands
Draw 5 curved bands across the horn, from its top edge to its bottom edge, getting shorter.
Step 4: A pumpkin
In front of the mouth, draw a big wide pumpkin sitting on the ground, with a dip on top.
Tip Rub out the bits of oval inside the pumpkin.
Step 5: Pumpkin lines
Draw 2 curved lines down the pumpkin, from top to bottom. Add a short fat stem.
Step 6: An apple
Left of the pumpkin, draw a round apple on the ground with a dip, a stem and a leaf.
Step 7: Grapes
At the bottom of the mouth, pile up 6 round grapes: 3 on the ground, 2 above, 1 on top.
Step 8: A pear
Inside the mouth, draw a pear peeking out behind the pumpkin and grapes. Add a stem.
Step 9: The ground
Start near the left edge. Draw a ground line under everything, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Tan horn
Go over your lines. Colour the horn and the rim of its mouth tan.
Step 11: Orange and red
Colour the pumpkin orange and the apple red.
Step 12: Green and purple
Colour the pear, the leaf and the pumpkin stem green. Colour the grapes purple.
Step 13: Brown inside
Colour the inside of the horn brown, around the fruit. Colour the apple and pear stems brown too.
