How to Draw a Rambutan
Draw a rambutan in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a round fruit.
Step 1: A round fruit
A little below the middle, on the left, draw a circle about as big as a ping-pong ball.
Step 2: Two more circles
To its right, draw 2 more circles the same size, with a gap half a circle wide between them.
Step 3: The ground
Draw a long ground line from left to right, just touching the bottoms of all 3 circles.
Step 4: Soft hairs
Round the top half of the first circle, draw short curved hairs sticking out, all leaning the same way.
Step 5: Hairs all round
Carry the hairs on round its bottom, pointing sideways. Leave a bare gap where it sits on the ground.
Tip Keep the hairs up off the ground, or it looks like it has legs.
Step 6: Second one's hairs
Add curved hairs round the top half of the middle circle. Leave a small gap at the very top.
Step 7: More hairs
Carry its hairs on round the bottom like the first one, with a bare gap by the ground.
Step 8: A short stalk
In the top gap of the middle fruit, draw a short stalk, thick at the bottom, thin on top.
Step 9: A leaf
On the stalk's top, draw a pointed leaf curving up to the right. Add a line down its middle.
Step 10: A peeled rambutan
Across the middle of the right circle, draw a wavy line. Go over its bottom half for the cup.
Step 11: Its hairy cup
From just under the rim, draw 3 curved hairs on each side of the cup. Keep the white top smooth.
Step 12: Green leaf
Go over your lines. Colour the leaf green.
Step 13: Red skins
Colour the 2 hairy rambutans and the cup red. Leave the peeled fruit white.
Step 14: Brown stalk
Colour the stalk brown, and your rambutans are ready to eat!
