How to Draw Fettuccine
Draw fettuccine in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
A little below the middle, draw a wide flat oval about a hand wide, for the top of the bowl.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big U down and up to the right end.
Step 3: The foot
Under the bowl, start on the bottom left. Go down a little, across, and up to the bottom right.
Step 4: The sauce
Inside the rim, draw a second flat oval a finger in, for the creamy sauce under the noodles.
Step 5: A long ribbon
Across the back of the sauce, draw 1 long flat ribbon noodle with wavy edges and square ends.
Tip A fat flat ribbon, not a thin string.
Step 6: A curling ribbon
Start on the long ribbon. Draw a second ribbon going down and curling up to the right like a hook.
Tip Rub out the long ribbon's line inside this one.
Step 7: Two short ribbons
Tuck 2 short ribbon ends under the hook: one slanting up to the right, one low on the left.
Step 8: Parsley
On the ribbons, draw 3 tiny pointed leaves for parsley: one left, one in front, one right.
Step 9: A stripe
Under the rim, draw a stripe round the bowl from side to side, curved like the rim.
Step 10: Steam
Start just above the back of the bowl and draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up.
Step 11: The table
Draw a long line under the foot, just touching its bottom.
Step 12: Cream sauce, yellow ribbons
Go over your lines. Colour the sauce cream around the ribbons, then the ribbons yellow around the parsley.
Step 13: Green parsley, blue stripe
Colour the parsley green and the stripe blue. Leave the rest of the bowl white.
