How to Draw a Croissant

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a croissant in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle puff.

Print

  1. Step 1: The middle puff

In the middle of your paper draw a big fat puff, wide and round on top, narrower at the bottom.

Tip Make it the biggest puff. The others get smaller.

  2. Step 2: Side puffs

On each side draw a smaller puff tipping down, from the middle puff's top corner to its bottom corner.

  3. Step 3: Little puffs

Next to each side puff draw a little puff, lower down, starting and stopping on the side puff.

  4. Step 4: Pointy tips

At each end draw a pointy tip, starting and stopping on the little puff, curling down to a point.

  5. Step 5: A shine

Near the top right of the middle puff draw one short curved line for a shine.

  6. Step 6: The ground

Draw a ground line from well left to well right, just touching both pointy tips.

  7. Step 7: A shadow

Between the pointy tips draw a long flat oval on the ground for the shadow.

  8. Step 8: Ginger middle

Go over your lines. Colour the big middle puff ginger.

  9. Step 9: Ginger sides

Colour the side puffs, little puffs and pointy tips ginger too.

  10. Step 10: Grey shadow

Colour the shadow grey, and your croissant is done!
